Data Protection Information

Data protection and data security are very important to us when you use our website. With this document we inform you which items of your personal data we collect when you visit our website and which purposes they are used for.

How we use your data

We collect and use our users' personal data only in accordance with a corresponding statutory basis within the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, DSGVO - Datenschutz-Grundverordnung) and the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003. The data is collected only to the extent necessary to provide functional websites, content and services. This is required for technical reasons, i.e. to provide the information we offer, to answer your questions and communication requests and to operate and improve our website. It therefore constitutes a legitimate interest under the GDPR.

Contact forms and email

Contact forms and email addresses are available on our websites for use in contacting us by electronic means. If a user uses these forms, or contacts us directly via email, the data entered will be transmitted to us. They are stored for the purpose of processing your request or in the event of follow-up questions and will be deleted within 6 months. Your transmitted data will not be passed on without your consent. If you wish your personal data to be deleted or changed, please send an e‑mail to contact(at)coldmolecules.eu.

We would like to point out that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. communication by email) has security gaps and cannot be completely protected against access by third parties.

Cookies

We use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files which are sent from our website's hosting server to your browser during your visit to our website and which are stored on your computer for later retrieval. The purpose of using cookies is to provide and simplify the use of our websites for users. Some functions of our website cannot be offered without the use of cookies. We only use temporary cookies. These are stored for a maximum of up to 7 days, or until you delete them. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can set your browser to notify you when a cookie is placed and to only accept cookies on a case-by-case basis.

Server log files

Every time you visit our website, the website's hosting server automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the requesting computer. The following data is collected:

  • the IP address of the requesting computer;
  • the date and time of access;
  • the name and URL of the file retrieved;
  • the quantity of data transmitted;
  • a report on whether the request was successful;
  • identification data of the accessing browser and operating system;
  • the internet site which accesses our website.

These log files are used for operational security of the website hosting provider, to compile access statistics, or to detect or correct errors. The information collected is not processed on a personal basis. The website operator reserves the right to evaluate or check this data in the event that unlawful activities become known. We note that the log files may contain IP addresses and other data that can, under certain circumstances, still be associated with a user. For example, this might be the case if the website from which the user accesses our website contains personal data.

Embedded maps service

Our website uses Microsoft Bing Maps and Embedded Maps Service. The use of Bing Maps increases the ability to find the locations provided on our website, which constitutes a legitimate interest within the GDPR.

The provider of this service is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, U.S.A.

Microsoft complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks. However, Microsoft may transfer data associated to the use of their services to a server in the USA and store and process it there. The processing is carried out by the service provider; the operator of this website has no influence on the transmission of the data. Further information and details about the processing of your data by the provider can be found in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Social networks

We maintain presences in various social networks. These social networks collect extensive personal information through a variety of means beyond the influence of the operator of this website. These presences can therefore only be opened via links. We deliberately refrain from embedding social plug-ins in order to prevent direct data exchange.

Rights of data subjects

In your capacity as a data subject, GDPR grants you the following rights when your personal data are processed:

  • the right to information;
  • the right to rectification;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restriction of processing of your personal data;
  • the right to data portability;
  • the right to object;
  • the right to revoke.

If the rights of data subjects within the meaning of this data protection declaration are asserted, all such applications or requests must be addressed to: contact(at)coldmolecules.eu.

If you believe that the processing of your data breaches data protection law or that your data protection claims have been breached in some other way, you can complain to the Data
Protection Authority.
